Brembo 4 piston calipers have defined the state of technology in world championship racing for the past years.
The larger brake pad friction surface (compared to 2 piston calipers) delivers an optimum deceleration ratio.
Because high performance braking causes the leading edge of the pad to contact the disc more heavilly,
the pistons of the 4 piston caliper differ in size (30/34mm) resulting in better retardation and lower pad wear.
